Congratulations to Dr. Sanjana Srabanti, who successfully defended her PhD dissertation, “Visual Analytics Systems and Grammars for Multivariate Social Variability Research,” at the University of Illinois Chicago. Sanjana led StreetWeave, a declarative grammar for street-overlaid visualization presented at IEEE VIS 2025.

“I am deeply grateful to my advisors, Dr. Liz Marai and Dr. Fabio Miranda, for their guidance, support, and belief in my work,” she said. Her committee also included Khairi Reda, Saeed Boorboor and Guadalupe Canahuate.
